Surface and underground mining, due to its technical challenges, is considered a hazardous industry. The great majority of accidents fatalities are frequently associated with ineffective or inappropriate training methods. Knowing that knowledge occupational accident causes plays significant role in safety management systems, it important systematise this kind information. primary objective systematic review was find evidence work-related involving machinery their and, thus, provide relevant data available improve the mining project (design). Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) Statement methodology used conduct review. This paper provides main research results based on protocol registered International Prospective Register (PROSPERO), where strategy, information sources, eligibility criteria provided. From 3071 articles identified, 16 were eligible added study. Results presented narrative-based form, additional provided descriptive tables. analysed showed equipment often related conveyor belts, haul trucks, dumpers, especially during maintenance repair activities. Attention should be paid powered tools. Effective monitoring machine operation control some stated measures minimise accidents. Particular attention less experienced senior workers, mainly through fatigue control, workload management, appropriate programs.
